Shakespeare
Tour
This
tour takes you to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare.
During
this leisurely tour you will be able to see the Shakespeare Exhibition
and visit the house were William Shakespeare was born. Shakespeares birthplace
has been beautifully restored and preserved and is the focal point on
a pedestrianised street lined with specialist shops.
We
then move out of the town centre to visit the world famous thatched cottage
of Shakespeare's wife Anne Hathaway, parts of which date back to the 1640's.
We
will also have time to visit the home of Shakespeare's mother Mary Arden,
this house was built circa 1514 just outside Stratford, the Shakespeare
Countryside Museum sits alongside the house.
After
visiting Shakespeares historic properties, we will travel through the
southern most part of Warwickshire and the edge of the Cotswolds to the
charming village of Lower Slaughter with the award winning gift and craft
shop as well as the Riverside Tea Rooms.
There
may also be time to visit the very picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water
with its array of specialist shops before returning to your accommodation.
