Bourton-on-the-Water,
Burford & Chipping Campden
Travelling
through the market towns of Morton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold we make
our way to Bourton-on-the-Water. The village houses are made of old world
Cotswold stone, the oldest dating back to the 17th century. Bourton-on-the-Water
is an all year round experience with attractions including Birdland, The
Cotswold Motoring Museum and the Model Village. On the main street you
will find numerous tea shops amongst the many specialist shops which face
the very picturesque River Windrush.
Now
we head for Burford. Here you can enjoy a range of craft and antique shops
on the steep tree lined High Street. There are several pubs and the Lamb
Inn which is partly 15th century is the oldest inn in the town.
After
lunch we continue to Chipping Campden for a gentle stroll around this
charming village with its array of specialist shops.
Sadly,
it's time to return to your accommodation.
